This week, we were very very busy so that was great! Honestly, we
didn't even have time to do our studies so that was actually a little
bit sad because I've really learned to love studying about the Gospel.
The first reason why we were so busy was because we had a lot of
rdv's! We were able to see many many people especially the members. It
was really good because one of our main goals in Vitrolles is to gain
the trust of the members due to past issues that have led the members
to lose there trust in missionaries. And, one thing of the biggest
things that I've learned about missionary work is that it is awful
without the help of members. I didn't know that before the mission,
but now I can see how important each member is when it comes to
missionary work.
The other reason was because one of the Marseille équipes is moving to
a new apartment, and because we are the closest ones with a car and a
"red card," we got stuck helping out with that. So, I got to spend a
lot of time driving in Marseille just trying to survive haha. Also,
let's just say Elder Coopen and I really know the IKEA in Marseille
after going there about 10 times haha.
Yesterday, we saw this crazy, Iranian less active named Marc. He
always sends us interesting texts and always wants to see us, but he
basically just wants to Bible bash which is honestly pointless. But,
it's always kinda funny to read his texts or talk to him because,
first of all, he's crazy and, second, he doesn't speak French and can
kinda speak English haha. He's just an interesting guy to say the
least. Haha
Today, Elder Romero and I went to this new mall in Miramas, and it was
pretty dang cool. First off, it was set up like a super nice, little
city. Also, it had a bunch of super good stores. For example, we went
to a Nike outlet, a Lindt chocolate store, and a Haribo store. I'm
definitely gonna go there again!
Love,
Elder Mason
1. On Saturday, we did service for the DiGallo family. We had to carry
about 30 sacs of cement weighing about 30 kg each up this big hill
filled with a bunch of gnarly, pokey plants in her backyard, but there
was pretty view from the top. (This was the hill and her house.)
2-3. This was our view.
4. The mall in Miramas.
5-6. This is what heaven looks like
7. Some buys
