This week has been pretty solid. We started it off by having dinner at
our bishops house. We ate some pretty dang good (Mexican not Arab)
tacos for dinner, so you know that we had a great time there. We also
had the opportunity to talk about general conference together and our
favorite talks. The talk I shared was the one given by our prophet,
Thomas S. Monson, during the Sunday Morning Session when he talked
about the importance of gaining a testimony of Jesus Christ, His
Gospel, and the Book of Mormon.
Recently, we started working with a less active named Charles. He is a
super nice guy, but you can tell that it has been quite a while since
he has been to church because of his very limited knowledge of the
Gospel. So, we have started to read the Book of Mormon with/to him
because he has trouble reading, and he now has a strong desire to come
to church. The only problem is that he doesn't have a car or a way to
get to church. He said that he was going to ask members for a ride,
and we tried to look for one too. But, no one could take him, so we
are hoping that we can find a ride for him this next Sunday.
We also had a fun exchange in Avignon and ate dinner/played soccer
with a super cool Tahitian family. Then the next day, we ate lunch and
played games with a family from Chile, so that was all fun too.
Oh and to explain the title, Elder Jacobson, an Elder serving in
Avignon, is color blind, and we learned that he truly thought, for his
whole life, that all tennis balls were yellow. Haha
Also, we got transfer calls, and Elder Berget and I will be spending 6
more weeks in Vitrolles together.
Love,
Elder Mason
