It's kind of weird staying with a comp for another transfer. I'm so
used to just a new comp every 6 weeks, but all is good!
So lately, we have been visiting a lot more less actives--two in
particular. One of their names is Georges, and the other's name is
Antoine. They're both really good guys and we're baptized about 5
years ago. The only thing is that they are both pretty interesting in
their own ways.
Georges is very kind. He just has a little stutter and takes a little
bit extra time to comprehend stuff. We've been trying to get him to
come back to church, but we can't quite figure out exactly why he
doesn't come yet. It's kind of like a mystery haha. Every time we
bring up why he doesn't come to church, there is just a really long,
awkward silence, and then he doesn't tell us why.
Antoine is also really kind but is really soft-spoken too. One thing
that was really cool was that first of all, he said that he'd come to
church if someone came to his apartment and brought him to the church.
So, we ended up walking to his apartment because it was Sunday and
trams barely come. When we finally got there, someone answered and
said that he wasn't ready to come, so that was a bummer but hopefully
next week. Another thing that was cool was that when we passed him,
his friend, Bernard, was there. He was really nice, and he ended up
being pretty interested, so we taught him. The main thing that is
kinda weird about visiting Antoine is that we noticed that each time
we go into his apartment complex, we notice that everyone just isn't
completely there. Then, we were in the elevator with one of the
residents, and he randomly told us that the apartment complex is some
sort of isolation project for people that aren't completely there in
the head. So, it's kinda creepy there, but it's not too bad.
We haven't really had much contact with Nell lately, but she came to
church last Sunday for the first time in a couple weeks. It was good
to be able to talk to her in person again. She is so cool!
