Week 29: Phew...Still in Grenoble

Bonjour,

We just got transfer calls this last Friday, and luckily, I'm staying
in Grenoble with Elder Abney. We're pretty stoked for the opportunity
to stay together in the best city ever with the best people ever!!!

So, this week I was able to go on exchanges with Elder Stainton and
Elder Alvarenga. With each of these exchanges, I had a lot of fun, and
we were able to get a lot of work done. One of the most fun things
that I did this past week was when Elder Stainton and I ate at the
Giraud-Carrier's (future Paris Temple President) house. It was so
awesome! First of all, we ate a really good North African dish that
they made that had couscous, meat, and a bunch of different fruits.
Then, they told us about their conversion stories, and when they
served as the Mission President in the Reunion Islands and apparently
opened up Madagascar for missionaries to go to. The Giraud-Carriers
are so cool and wise. I'm definitely gonna have to visit them at the
Paris Temple in the future.

Sadly, we are kinda struggling to see Nell. We think that it has to do
with a dumb situation that happened, but we are still pushing forward
to help her be baptized soon.

We also had the opportunity to see Luu again. She ended up coming
late, so we didn't have a whole lot of time to talk. But, she had a
question about woman & and the priesthood. It was fun kind of
explaining why we thought that men had the priesthood haha. We
basically explained to her that God created man and woman. We're
different. We each have different, specific, divine roles, but we are
equal. One is not greater than the other.

Thank you all for the prayers! Love you all! 😘

Love,
Elder Mason

It's been snowing a lot lately so it's been cold but also cool
(especially all of the mountains when it is clear enough)
