Life is great here in Grenoble. The time is passing by so fast. It's
unreal! Elder Abney and I have also been having a great time together.
This week, we had our Ward Soirée de Noël (Christmas Party). It was so
fun! They set up a big Christmas program, and all of the Grenoble
missionaries sang "Silent Night". Then, we ate a bunch of food that
people brought. It was all sooo good! Also, a lot of our
amis/nonmembers that members invited came too.
Ok, so I have a pretty funny story to share. So one day, Elder Abney
and I went over to the Meyer family's house to eat (which I ate cow
heart for the first time and it wasn't too hard), share a thought (his
wife and daughter aren't members), and do role playing. We were kinda
confused when he asked us to role play with them because we were just
thinking about role playing missionary lessons, so we agreed. Then, we
were talking to him about it and thought that we were going to be
playing charades. Then, we started to play and quickly learned that we
weren't playing either once we had to choose a character of some kind
and what race we were. So, Elder Abney and I were stuck playing
"Dungeons & Dragons" or something like that for way too long. I have
never felt so nerdy in my life and there was nothing I could do about
it.
I would first just like to note how good of a member Ethan is. He not
only brought Sarah to church, but he also brought a new friend to
church. We ended up teaching Sarah again which went really well. The
only sad part about all of this is that they are leaving this week, so
we had to say our final goodbyes to them. Ethan and Sarah are some of
the best people I have met so far. I will miss them so much. Also, I
hope that Sarah continues to see the missionaries in Boston and
continues to progress in the church.
Love,
Elder Mason
The longest slack line that I have ever seen
