Bonjour mes amis,
I don't have a lot of time to write emails today, so I'll just get
straight to the point.
So, Elder Loveland and I ended up closing Manosque. It was really sad,
and we were even able to get 2 more engagés last week. So, Elder
Loveland or I will be trying to Skype these amis, and hopefully,
everything still works out.
But, I am now serving in Grenoble. It is just about 100x different
than Manosque. It is a really cool and pretty city surrounded by
mountains, and I can't wait to to do more missionary work here. My
companion is Elder Eberhard. He is from Kaysville, Utah. (I'm sure he
will be the first of many) Today, I had the opportunity to go to a
camp in the mountains next to Grenoble for the youth in the Lyon stake
because Elder Eberhard and I were going to give two 40 minute
presentations on why to serve a mission. I can honestly say that I was
pretty nervous at first because we didn't have any time to prepare and
the whole thing was in French (of course). But, the gift of tongues
has saved me again, and the presentation went really well. It was an
awesome experience, and it was so great to hear some of the powerful
testimonies from the youth. I also had the chance to meet some of the
members of our ward, and they are so cool. I'm so excited to meet the
rest of them.
Love,
Elder Mason
