Bonjour à tous,
Well...I started this week off with my birthday. We ate unlimited
fries and mussels at this restaurant for lunch which was really really
good. Then, we had a rdv with one of our amis and did some good ol
contacting and porting. Finally, we finished off the day at a members
house and spent a good time together. This member is actually a baker
and taught me how to make some tasty apple tarts, and we had
milkshakes together. Also, thanks to you all who wished me a happy
birthday, and for those of you didn't, I forgive you.
This week, we had a baptism for this Tahitian kid in the ward, and our
new ami, Power (yes his name really is power), came to the baptism
too. To explain a little bit about power, he is from Nigeria and has
only been in France for about a year now, so he mostly speaks English.
Also, he is a straight up "G" and likes to freestyle rap, and the
thing that is even better is that he is also really interested in the
Gospel. So, I'm excited to work more with him.
We also have another ami that we have started working with whose name
is Carlos. So, he is actually from Brazil but has been living in
France for quite a while now. Also, his wife was just baptized in
Brazil about a week ago and should be coming to France in September.
He also has a baptismal date fixed for this October now. The two
problems are: 1) a couple issues with the WoW and 2) he lives in a
ville called Mende which is 2 hours away from Nîmes by car. So, it is
kinda difficult to visit him and get him to come to church, but I
think he either wants to move to Alès or Nîmes soon. So, hopefully
that happens.
Well...I love you all and have a good week!!!
Love,
Elder Mason
