Bonjour mes amis,
So, as you can probably tell, we have finally moved to our new apartment in Manosque. It is so nice. Plus, we now live a lot closer to the gare and the church building. But, probably the best thing about it is the water pressure. In our old apartment, we had close to zero water pressure because we had to turn it down for our evil neighbor because the pipes were rattling a little bit and were too loud for her. But now, life is great!
This week we didn't have a whole lot of time to do missionary stuff in because of the moving, but one of the significant events was when we saw our ami Jacky. Jacky is a really nice guy and has actually been coming to church consistently for at least the last 15 years. We even saw his name on the list to clean the chapel. He has a strong testimony of the Gospel and knows pretty much everything about it. He also really wants to get baptized, but we learned that there is one big thing holding him back, his wife. So, we then asked him why she didn't want him to get baptized. He then said kind of sarcastically, "I don't know. You should ask her." So then, we were like, "When can we come over?" So now, we are going to visit with him and his wife and learn the real reason so that Jacky can be baptized.
Each transfer, we have zone training which is normally in Aix-en-Provence, but because of some things that came up, we ended up going to Avignon. Avignon was such a cool ville with a lot of history too. One of the cool things that we saw was 1 of the 3 Vaticans that exist. Also in Avignon, we saw the nicest Cathedral that I have seen so far and just saw a bunch of ancient structures.
Love,
Elder Mason
Here are a couple of pics from Avignon and a video of us moving
